Friday Update Day: History Time!

By Spencer Yarnell Head of Spreading the Herd Word

Ahh that time of the week we all harken back to and long for. Friday. Friday Update Day.

Today I can do one better. I don’t just have an update I’ve got a feature that’s already up and running in our system. Double treat. Today I want to talk about history. Employee Payroll History.

Our Magic Wall of Forthcoming Updates!

Really I’m talking about our system’s Employee Payroll History Report feature. This feature allows your company’s payroll guru (whomever that may be, sometimes its us!) to in a few clicks bring up all of an employee’s, hours, earnings, deductions, benefits,  and any other payroll related data you want accumulated within a given date range. The data you receive is divided by pay run but you can quickly export it to excel to do all the spreadsheet backflips you’d like to do from there. A distinction between this feature and the employee portal is that employee portals have access to individual statements of earnings for each pay run separately and thus the Employee Payroll History Report is better for data over longer trends.

Here’s the thing, like any data you want easy access and payroll history is no different. With the ability to analyze and compare data you can look into things like: “What kind of raises have I been giving employee A over the past few years?” “Has employee A been paying group insurance?” “How much has employee A accrued in pensionable earnings?” This information answers questions like this easily and better yet its instantaneous and free. Talk about double treat. With tools like this its you, who has control over your payroll information.

IF you want more info on features we’ve got or how to use them head on over to our support page. We’ll take care of you!

Well, happy weekend, enjoy controlling your payroll information, and if you don’t really control it maybe you have a weekend to think about happier things!

Goatbuzzter out.

PS. Sorry if you clicked that Friday link.. I had to…

IBEX Payroll extends our profound respect and immeasurable gratitude to all the ancestors and keepers of the land on whose traditional territories our work takes place. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. This land is sacred, historical, and significant.

Every time we acknowledge this truth, we have an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on the wrongs of the past, what we do in the present, and what we can do to continually honour the people whose lands and water we benefit from today.

This statement only acts as a first step in honouring the land we reside on and its peoples, and must be paired with education, understanding and informed action.
