Fools & Horses
James Magnus-Johnston

“It’s a great thing when your software works exactly the way you want it to – this has been our experience with IBEX from day one. We’d never used a payroll system before and needed a lot of help, but IBEX guided us through the process step by step. Their system makes doing our payroll painless and easy – I’d recommend them to anybody.”

Fools & Horses is a Winnipeg based café serving high quality coffee, beer, wine, and food – all made with fresh local ingredients. The restaurant is a popular meeting place within the community and hosts frequent evening shows. They emphasize sustainability and local sourcing – both values that IBEX truly believes in.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Winnipeg
Suzanne Neilson

“We decided to use IBEX for our payroll primarily because of their low fees. They understand that by letting us spend less on payroll, we’ll have more money to spend helping Winnipeg’s youth! We’ve had nothing but good experiences with IBEX and would definitely recommend them.”

Big Brothers and Big Sisters is Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity. Founded over 45 years ago, they serve to pair every child in need with a mentor to provide friendship, support and guidance. The program facilitates life-changing relationships and aims to inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential, both as individuals and citizens.

Pacific Sleep Care
Simone Lamont

“Every single time I have ever had to call IBEX (and we’ve had to make a lot of changes and tweaks over the years), I’ve been met with a cheerful, human being who was happy to talk. I tell them why I’m calling, and they make the changes while I’m still on the phone - I’ve literally never even been put on hold! We frequently bring up IBEX at our own management meetings as an example of exceptional customer service. If you choose them, you won’t be disappointed.”

Pacific Sleep Care is a Vancouver Island based sleep apnea clinic with 4 locations on the island. The company was started after owner Gord Young saw a real gap in quality care for his own sleep apnea. Now, after over 10 years of business, Pacific Sleep Care prides itself on putting their patients’ needs first, and providing them with the best care and service to help them sleep easier.

Coal and Canary
Tom and Amanda

“Candle making is fun… Payroll isn’t! Tom and I started selling candles as an excuse to hang out more; we never expected our business to take off. We didn’t have much business experience, and needed help figuring out how to pay our employees - they definitely didn’t like getting paid in candles. IBEX made everything easy for us. I remember one time where I called IBEX in a panic, needing my payroll invoices for a meeting that morning. It was in my inbox in minutes! IBEX continues to surprise and impress me, two thumbs up! 👍 👍”

Founded by Tom and Amanda in 2014, Coal and Canary is a Canadian candle company inspired by what wasn’t being done by everybody else. Every candle is handmade with their signature untreated wood wick and given a fun, lighthearted name like “Don’t Be Chai” or “That Hot Barista”. Coal and Canary is about having fun and spreading smiles – both values personified by Tom and Amanda.

IBEX Payroll extends our profound respect and immeasurable gratitude to all the ancestors and keepers of the land on whose traditional territories our work takes place. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. This land is sacred, historical, and significant.

Every time we acknowledge this truth, we have an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on the wrongs of the past, what we do in the present, and what we can do to continually honour the people whose lands and water we benefit from today.

This statement only acts as a first step in honouring the land we reside on and its peoples, and must be paired with education, understanding and informed action.
