Make Money Now!

By Spencer Yarnell Head of Spreading the Herd Word

And your spam filter just exploded.

A happy equation

Seriously though this is often the conundrum faced with a campaign like Clean Your Green. We have all these ideas where we think if we implement it correctly money is just going to fall out of the sky and support the cause instantly.

Here’s the thing, its not that easy.

Moving the Greenometer the Old Fashioned Way

Like your spam filter, the mind filter should be suspicious about make money now ideas. Not because they don’t exist, but because statistically speaking whether making money or raising money for a cause your time and effort is probably better put into doing it the right way, rather than spending hours dreaming up a perfect scheme. I’ve spent the last few weeks trying to dream up such a scheme to help raise money for Clean Your Green.

And you know what? The second we just started emailing people and asking for money the old fashioned way we started getting donations. It might not be the most innovative, it might not make anyone famous but we’re going to achieve our goal this way.

Clean Your Green is now up to $2,485 in donations and rising, we’re looking to have one good day out there Friday, if you can stop by and see what’s up, we’d love to have you!

Goatbuzzter out,

IBEX Payroll extends our profound respect and immeasurable gratitude to all the ancestors and keepers of the land on whose traditional territories our work takes place. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. This land is sacred, historical, and significant.

Every time we acknowledge this truth, we have an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on the wrongs of the past, what we do in the present, and what we can do to continually honour the people whose lands and water we benefit from today.

This statement only acts as a first step in honouring the land we reside on and its peoples, and must be paired with education, understanding and informed action.
