When it is work, we try to do less. When it is art, we try to do more.
In school we asked the question “will this be on the test?” all the time, because we were not going to bother learning something we disliked unless we had to. We never asked this question when our favourite teacher was showing us something we loved while treating us as individuals.
Our job as leaders is to figure out what is art to each of our staff and to treat each as a unique individual as we help them refine their art.
